ROTARY CLUB OF HAZLETON

Rotary International consists of approximately 1.2 million members worldwide and is one of the world’s first service organizations. Professionals with diverse backgrounds meet to tackle worldwide and local community challenges through service and fundraising activities. The Hazleton club leads dozens of projects which benefit the Greater Hazleton area throughout the year. Paul and Jason Brenner are both active members and Paul Harris Fellows of the Hazleton Rotary Club.

HAZLETON INTEGRATION PROJECT

The mission of the Hazleton Integration Project is to help create and maintain an atmosphere that will unify the varied cultures in the city. Additionally, the project will provide physical environment within the city that is conducive to creating opportunities for economically challenged children to participate in a variety of no-cost or low-cost educational, cultural, and athletic activities.

PATHWAY TO RECOVERY

Founded on July 1, 1977, Pathway to Recovery, formerly Serento Gardens, is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that has helped thousands overcome their chemical dependencies by giving them the support and opportunity to regain control of their lives. Pathway to Recovery is one of the oldest continually operating substance abuse treatment and education centers in Pennsylvania. The agency is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is a member agency of the United Way of the Greater Hazleton Area, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, and the Association of Recovery Schools. Paul Brenner has been an active supporter of drug and alcohol abuse treatment and prevention and is the past chairman and current member of the Board of Directors.

HAZLETON POWER!

Hazleton Power! is a non-profit group whose mission is to promote the Greater Hazleton area as a vital and pleasurable place to live, work, and play. The group was originally founded in 2000 to establish and organize a support network to enhance the ability to attract and retain the talent and knowledge of young professionals to build a better economic future. In addition to organizing networking and social events, Power! has focused on grassroots projects such as area beautification projects, art shows, fun runs/races, and other social events that benefit the local community. Brenner Recycling is proud to support Hazleton Power! and Jason Brenner was a member of the Board of Directors.
