Drop the Drugs Hazleton

A mobile solution to remove unwanted and unused opiods and prescription drugs from medicine cabinets and keep them off of the streets in the Greater Hazleton Area.  Paul Brenner championed the program, modeled after a similar effort in Susquehanna County, as a partnership between the community and local police.   With the help of local companies, civic organizations, and citizens, funds were raised to purchase and donate the van to the City of Hazleton.  Brenner Recycling is proud to be a sponsor of this very worthwhile endeavor.

Founded on July 1, 1977, Pathway to Recovery, formerly Serento Gardens, is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that has helped thousands overcome their chemical dependencies by giving them the support and opportunity to regain control of their lives. Pathway to Recovery is one of the oldest continually operating substance abuse treatment and education centers in Pennsylvania. The agency is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is a member agency of the United Way of the Greater Hazleton Area, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, and the Association of Recovery Schools. Paul Brenner has been an active supporter of drug and alcohol abuse treatment and prevention and is the past chairman and current member of the Board of Directors.
